+1 on the vivid black, However I wish they offered the 105th cooper paint scheme in the 09. I really liked that color.

I just bought an 09 Street Glide for that very reason. Just wasnt digging the new rear fender/tail lights or the 2 into 1 exhaust on the 2010's. Some great deals to be had on 2009's right now

I just bought an 09UC for the reasons you state. I love this bike! It is so much more stable on the hwy than my 03, and no Cat. converter, yeah you can change pipes but if they start emition inspecting, you will have to have them on the 2010s. This custom black ice and blue ice color is down right SEXY! lol

Prefer the 2010 Roadie to the older models(Roadie) in stock trim. First off, I don't like the older paint scheme with the big thick wide stripe. The 2010 pinstripes are much less obtrusive. Next, I like the black denim color available in 2010, and not earlier. I like the 2010 wheels better than the earlier wheels, and the tail light / rear signals looks better. Lower suspension matters not to me. I like the lower windshields in general, though I am trying one a little taller than stock right now. The earlier models have a nicer seat (for the passenger) and I got one off e-bay. Basically for me, it is cheaper to get a 2010 than an earlier model as I would first want to paint the whole bike and make other expensive changes that I won't be doing on the 2010. Other than the H-D backrest (passenger) that I would have put on an older one, I have about $200 in mods and will put in another $150. (longer mirrors and powerlet outlet). Then I'm done for a while. Maybe some intake exhaust work later, but that would be with any bike. For me the 2010 is more valuable.

Yeah, that new color just got me too. I hope they don't make too many of them so we don't see that color everywhere!

I like the 2010 RG better except for the exhaust, but that is an easy fix, and most people change the exhaust anyway no matter what year or style.

I guess I am the lone desenter; I will not be buying a newer bike because of the newer EPA rules. Eventually governmental issues will become even more burdensome with regards to aftermarket exhaust, noise and engine mods. I'll stick with bikes that have a better chance for modification without Uncle Sam climbing down my neck.

FYI,

I was at the Reno Street Vibrations get together, and the HD dealers there had tons of new '09 bikes!!! I would think that they want to deal...

With the 2010s it will be easier for them to levy stiff fines for removal of catalytic converters. I think the fines can be very high already, they just don't enforce it on cagers.
