Make sure you check the clearance of the seat and the bag lids. When I remove the strap mounts, it makes the bag clearance closer to the frame so the lid hits the seat if i don't make sure to depress the edge of the seat when lifting the lid. I've got a nice little wear mark on my seat and the corner of my lid now. Your lid may not open the same as mine tho, so you may not have that problem, but wanted to give warning.
