Question 09 Baggers & SEII's

Has anyone tried installing the older SE II's ( HD stopped making them in 06) on a new Ultra or any other 09 bagger? I measured the pipes on another 03 with se's and they are very close except for diameter which should clear the axle bolt. Has anyone physically installed them? Had them on my 02 RK and loved the sound.
Thanks

I have a set of the older SE pipes on my 08. Harley said they wont fit but they bolt right up just fine. Not sure how much diffrence there is with the mufflers though on an 09 compared to 08, obviously the head pipes are a little different.

09 and later mufflers have the "dents" in the inside to clear the axle bolt. If you run the earlier type mufflers the axle can hit the muffler (I assume so anyhow, why else would they put then indentations there??)

My 08 mufflers also had "dents" there. The older SE mufflers i put on did not. My pipes certainly dont come close to hitting the axle. I think the dents may be there for easier rear wheel removal without taking the mufflers off?

Learning is fun. I didnt know the 08s were the same. I still cant get my back wheel off with the mufflers on, so I dont know why the dents are there..

Put them on my 09 Ultra Sat and they fit perfect with no clearance issue. Sound is awesome.
