I have a 7x12. I can fit 2 with ease, but it's close with 7' wide side by side. You can stagger them and work with 6' wide. For 3 bikes you might need 16' trailer at a minimum. Pull the bags off and you can get them in tighter.
Hopefully someone will chime in that has hauled 3 bikes at once.
I hauled 3 baggers and a wide glide down to Daytona w/ a 8x20 trailer. I staggered the bikes and still had 2 feet of space at the rear for luggage. I was going to get a 8x18 but couldn't pass up the price on the 8x20. I would definitely recommend going with a 8' wide...7' would have been tight even with staggering them.
I had a 7x12 still could only fit 2 Touring bikes . Traded it for an 8x20 car trailer almost the same price . In my opinion it tows the same and I figure it will be an easy resale .
Car guys, landscapers anyone can use a trailer that size .
While planning this last years Sturgis trip. One of the female math wizards spoke up and
said that we would spend the same $$'s on gas if we road out four bikes or trailer'd four behind a Suburban.
At that point she was directed to go buy us more beer.
Um, the only good reason for trailering three baggers would be if you needed to steal them and get them keyed after the getaway. Make sure there is enough extra room for the purses and Tampex's...
