Here's an idea I just thought of and will do on my own. Cut the plug off of both ends leaving a longer tail on the one coming from the bike. Then reattach them to the other side so the one on the bike is shorter and attach the longer one to the tourpack. Now instead of the plug being under the tourpack liner its under your seat and all it cost was a handfull of splices and some heatshrink.
Hope you all were able to understand what I meant by that. Maybe after I get back from my trip I'll do it myself with some pics to illustrate what I mean.
Also as far as the antenna go I have a Tune Trapper Hidden antenna for the radio and just left the CB antenna off as I never use it.

I had good results using these connectors: Deutsch Elec Connectors
I used 3 of the DTM Series "Mini" Connectors: a 6 pin on each side & a 3 pin on the left.

Hey I just thought of something. If your on an 06 with t he Harmon Kardon radio and rear speakers you might want to hold off. I have heard that if you disconect the rear speakers you have to go to the dealer and have them reflash the radio then again when you hook them back up. I have an older model so not sure if this is accurate or not and I don't think you said what your riding.

I have an 06 and took the tour pack off this weekend. It sucks that HD says you "can not" remove the tour pac of an ultra classic, but as you can see you all have. There seems to be enough room between the frame and the left side of the battery to coil the wires. 2 questions.
Should I tape the conector to prevent water from getting in?
What is the world is reflashing?? Never heard of such a thing. I just googled it and came up with nothing about Harmon Kardon/HD and reflashing.
What are the benifits to adding your own disconnect when everthing in the tour pac already have a way to release them. Will is hurt to have the wires coiled under the seat?
How can I get better receptio on the radio when the radio wire is under the seat?

Sleeps In Trees,
I purchased the same connectors from batts racing a few months ago. I had the same idea as you, However I haven't got to it yet. Did you use the solid pin and socket type connectors? That is what I got and am planning on soldering the pins. I hope it works as the crimp tool is 250.00 dollars.
Do you put some type of cover over the end of the connectors under the seat?
Thanks
Rick

I've got the Ultra tour pacon detachable mount on my RK. I'm not running the CB but have the H-D long AM/FM antenna whip on both CB and radio mounts on the tour pac.
Have not made a wiring quick disconnect yet, but won'thave a problem with mine. I'm running a Sony Marine CDX-F50M AM/FM/CD/MP3/XM radio!
No reflash needed, just have to improvise an AM/FM antenna for removing my tour pac.
