You guys were wrong about Elite 3's...

It is difficult for any one of us to try every option of tyre, without doing massive mileages in a short time. Having owned Harleys since the 70s, when they came on Goodyears, I have tried a lot of them, but always ended up on Avons. Back in the 90s Metzelers were far the worst tyre I have ever fitted, followed closely by the original Dunlops and Pirellis. I stick with Avon Venoms for the best mix of grip under all conditions and sweet handling. Mileage is not my highest priority, but comfort and safety are. I am not about to fit others just to say I have tried them!
Fortunately most tyre brands have made good improvements in recent years, so there are fewer duds amongst the major names.

Just wondering if there's Elite 3's that would fit the '09 and '10 Touring Bikes ?. Just that I'm skeptical about buying the new 408's after my 407's with cupping problems wears out. My dealer blew me away by not wanting to replace and said there's nothing wrong with the tires especially since theres' no bulletin. I say BS !.
Thanks,
Thorey

Thorey,
Call Harley Customer support and tell them your front tire is vibrating and it feels unstable. Say nothing about it cupping. Play dumb. They'll call your dealership and tell them to change out the tire.
And No, the E3s will not fit the 09s/10s. Dunlop has no plans to make them in that size either.
