Default Anyone have their pipes wrapped on their bagger?

Anyone running wrapped pipes on there bagger here? I've all ways wanted black pipes but just thought about wrapping the primaries of my D&D's to give it a REAl unique look. i think it would be bad *** when it contrasts with my silver motor

If you do please posted picks

No, but I've considered wrapping the pipes on my RKC. My last bike had wrapped pipes and I loved them. Looks cool, doesn't burn up your legs, and (theoretically) makes your exhaust more efficient.

I had to because of more cubes and 2" pipes. The custom built exhaust ended up to close to the bottom of the pinion case on the right, and too close to pass footboard on left.Use the 1" tape it covers the bends correctly.

If your current pipes have heat shields, take them off, and wrap the pipes. If you like it fine. If you want to go back, take wrap off, and put shields back on. No harm, no foul.

Wrapped the headers on a friends RK and the heat was unbearable - heat shields went back on.

Is it possible to wrap the pipes and re-install the sheilds? Or is the OD now too large for the clamps?

You'd have to be a magician to fit shields over wrap.
