Ran into this guy at Indy West HD this summer. My girl just had to go see the puppy, I just loved custom work he did. He took an old tour pak and cut a hole in the top, lined the edges with rubber and that was about it. Inside the tour pak he had a water bowl, food bowl and a little (pink) bed for the dog. He told us this dog has riden probably 20K miles or more in this thing!

Here is the pic with the guy, his dog, and my woman

And here is a link to the website that makes "doggles" and helmets for dogs.

I say life is short, ride the way you wanna ride.

T-bags.com has a pet carrier that size.

Sidecars rock if you have a dog.....my girl must have had a 1000 people take pictures...when i sit at lights i regularly see phone cameras snapping away.....i cant recommend a sidecar more....of coarse you need to have another bike to satisfy the need for two wheels!!!!

Of course some dogs won't fit into a carrier,
you just train them to hang on and hope they don't fall off.

...or maybe not,

Thumbs up

I have 2006 RKC. We have 2 Cavelier King Charles Spaniels...about 12 lbs each. When we bought the bike we also purchased a T Bags pet carrier. I mounts very securely on the rear rack behind my wifes back rest. It is a stiff, soft bag with a hard floor Has lambs wool floor liner, zip down sides with screens, and a small flip open flap on the top for the dog to put there head out There are two harness's inside to clip on the dogs collar. They allow plenty of movement, but are just long enought to prevent the dog from trying to get out.
The bag also looks pretty nice, we use it even when we dont have the dog along...it is very roomy. The bag has a water proof cover and carrying strap. My only concern with the dog on the back is the noise...I have vance and hines slip ons. We dont worry too much about wind as the dog is directly behind my wife...I dont take the dog alone with me and we will not take the dog if there is any lengthy interstate travel. They like riding, and man do we get the looks and the questions when the dog is along. We have a large state park close by and if we take a ride there, we usually take the dog...then everyone gets to enjoy. Check out the T Bag site

There is a guy running around the mountains of NC with basically a wooden box bungeed down to the back seat and sheepskin in the box. He has a Beagle and said it took a couple years but he has now learned to lean with the bike. He just sits back there happy as a clam.

Oh, and on the side of the bok is stenciled "Screaming Beagle"

Default uh

My boxer goes with me everywhere in my pick up, but with cropped ears the wind does get to her.

Can't imagine taking her on the bike though.

Oh, and crap, she is only 42 pounds, but I'd put her up against most dogs twice her size and she is 11.
