I'm getting more and more used to it. The first turn I made the night I picked it up, I drug the boards. My buddy said "It's not a R1 you know"!
I do love it. It makes riding on the streets fun again.
Its great, isn't it? I was dead set on a VFR (without VTEC, thank you very much) until I rode with about 600,000 of my other friends in Washington DC on Memorial Day. There's a kind of smile one can't erase from the face of a Harley rider. I get lots of ribbing from my sport bike buds but now they're thinking I'm going to have room to carry THEIR stuff on longer rides.
Been there, done that too. The Road King certainly fits my age and riding style a lot better than the BMW R1100RT I used to have. Scratch that Harley itch and buy your Ultra.
I would look at the Road King Firefighter Edition. I have an RK Police and feel its the best of both worlds - at home on the open road as well as running errands around town.
