Default Add C.B. To '06 Road Glide?

Has anyone added the C.B. to an '06 Road Glide? I have the Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio System and it came stock, with the PTT and "+/SQ/-" switch on the left handlebar switch assembly, as well as the speaker control switch on the fairing. My dealer is telling me it would be about $800 in parts alone to add the C.B. to this bike.

The parts catalog seems to contradict itself in what is necessary and I'm not able to locate a dealer that has dealt with this in a new Road Glide. I've already got the Tour Pak on and my thoughts were that it would only take a module/software update, antenna, and the tank console. And maybe a wiring harness. Still can't come up with $800 bucks in parts.

Somebody HAS to have had this done to their RG! Any ideas guys?

Thanks.

Isn't the CB module around 500$ by itself? And I know there is a wiring harness needed for the upgrade.

The CB upgrade is $300, 100 for antenna, plus wiring , then plug in on center console, plus labor is $1,000. I bought this one, works for me.Been on three all day rides still same batteries.

Thanks a bunch WebsterDan! I think that is going to be the ticket! The reality is I will probably only be using it for one or two rides a year. Just can't justify a grand for that.

Thanks again...
