Default Mysterious oil leak

I am trying to locate the source of a small oil leak from my 08 rk with 15k miles. I find about a tablespoon of oil on the garage floor the next day after riding. All I can tell for certain is that I see traces of oil on the bottom of the 3 bolts that secure the engine to the lower frame crossmember. It seems to be coming from somewhere above the front rubber mount of the frame crossmember. I have mounted an aftermarket oil cooler with the adapter plate for the filter but that area appears to be completely dry. The cooler oil lines are tight and dry. The oil pan and drain bolt are completely dry. Any suggestions?

Back in the day, yeah, I'm old, we used to trace leaks with deodorant, yep, that's right. Clean the engine very well, then spray the suspect areas with women's aerosol deodorant with baby powder in it. Take it for a short ride, it will be very obvious where the oil is coming from.

Did you check the oil filter adapter for the oil cooler?
If that adapter didn't get mouted right or has loosened that could be a place to look.
At the 1000 mile service the dealer lube jockey didn't catch all the oil from the filter and it settled in the oil cooler. Freaked me out the next 2 days trying to trace an oil leak! Turned out alls I had to do was clean the oil cooler out with carb cleaner.

My 1st guess would be that it's weeping from the connetion of cooler lines to the barbs on the adapter.

These ALWAYS need to be retightened after the initial install, after the rubber hose has been heat cycled a few times.

Maybe it's a friend yanking your chain and putting oil under your bike to drive you nuts.
