Hey There

Your using a Sony radio and unless your willing to give up saddle bag space your limited. On HTT, there is a fellow "JMorton" who can tell you what he uses. I think its older Alpine with decent success. Please be careful putting too much demand on your electrical system by going to too big an amp. Also remember you could put 1000 watts a channel on board, but you always be limited by the small size of the front speakers. They will only play "so" loud.

If it was me, I would look on ebay for an older Fosgate amp called a Punch 30. Im not sure it would go in the fairing easily, but it would wire up to the Sony nicely. Some guys have also spoken of a small Blaupunkt amp but Ive never seen one myself.

Sorry to pontificate, but the only way I see getting louder and clearer over what you have is by adding a second set of speakers. Call me if ya wanna yak-----

I hope I didn't confuse you explainining My Sony Set-Up.

As far as the speaker setup, use JL 4 inch speakers there Loud and have a moderate bass sound

Of course you'll never get a sound like in a car, but it's ok...

They liked the Sony Install on my Standard so much, they added 500.00 to my trade...

The 06 ultra will me ready tommorrow.

Ride Safe...

You want an Eclipse EA1412. Its tiny about 2"x2"x5". It will easily fit inside of a fairing. Its 4 channel and it will cleanly power 4 speakers. Good luck.
