Fuel gauge poblem
First post here, as I just moved to a 05 Ultra Classic from a Lowrider. Yes, I'm happy.
The problem I am having is my fuel gauge reads emty after I switched out a dented tank. I figured I messed something up with the sending unit, when putting it into the new tank. So I started to remove it to look to see what I messed up. I decided to check it before removing it completely from the tank and it worked just fine as I moved the unit up and down, so I put it all back together and it worked for a day and then went back to empty. R/R it again and it worked for 1/2 a day.
Is a empty reading a closed or open electrical condition?
