show your bagger with apes
#72
I finally bit the bullet and ordered some 14" blackout wild1 apes. I'll post pics once I get them installed (which sadly does not look like it will be until after Daytona).
Can folks who have been riding them for awhile let me know how much more wind you take on in this position (I rarely use my windshield, I really only use it in bad weather). I'm envisioning a real parachute feeling in the more open and upright position. Just wondering what to expect when compared to stock.
thanks - Sean

For those who haven't seen these bars...
BR Custom Cycles
http://brcustomcycles.com/
These are the sweeping beaters with the solid gussets welded in the corners.
1 1/2" thick
12-13" tall (upper to lower vertical bars..bottom of top bar to top of lower bar)
17" from very top of point to the bottom of lower bars.
39-40 " wide.
$490 to my door powder-coated and ready to bolt on.
5 week wait.

bagger apes
As the poster above stated, Hill Country Custom Cycles has a complete kit including the necessary wire extensions. My preference is the 13". Takes the cramping out of your shoulders and neck that stock bars seem to give. Here's an ebay link:

Does anyone else make anything similar to the carlini gangsters or fly'in apes? That's the look I want, but they don't deal with any stores or distributors and I'm planning to buy handlebars, cables, chrome controls, etc configured so I can just install them on my bike when it arrives.
My poor bike should not have to go through life with stubby bars!
