Default best price for an Ultra

I am looking at getting an ultra in the near future. I am going to buy it from the military sales program over here in Germany and pick it up in the states. I have a quote of $20,882.00 w/abs or $20,113.50 wo/abs. I haven't been to a dealer back in the states in about a year. Is this a good price or can I do better in the states? The reason for two quotes is I am not sure if I should get abs or not after hearing about some of the problems folks on here have been having with it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Good luck on your tour in Germany. I retired 3 and 1/2 yrs ago. I recently purchased a 2009 Ultra with ABS and I feel I got a good price on it. With the extended warranty and a tour pack luggage rack I was out the door for $23,800.00 so you are looking at about a $1500.00 savings. If I remember correctly the extended warranty was $1400.00. This was in lower Alabama and I'm not sure how the prices are running elsewhere. The price I got was with taxes and if I remember correctly when you purchase through military sales you don't pay state and county taxes at the time of purchase but when you buy your first full year tag they hit you heavy with the taxes. I'm not sure of that.

Sounds like a fair price.
I don't have ABS on my Ultra, but have a few friends with it. They seem to like it. I'm not sure I would though ........ don't like the pulsing that ABS does. Makes me feel like the brakes are not gonna stop the bike.

I have ridden bikes for many years and I did about 5 years as a motor officer for a police department and never had ABS until I purchased the 2009 Ultra. I had always used my right foot to provide ABS braking. I went out on wet grass and tried them, grabbed the front brake lever and depressed the rear brake and I found so far I love them. Just my $.02.

I haven't found a dealer that will match the military sales price yet. And if you do then get it in writing and they will refund the difference to you. So you cannot lose with the military sales.

PS Where in Germany? I am also in Germany. Will pick up mine when I PCS for the last time out of Germany.
