I just used Allied/Federal to ship from MA to OH. Very professional, no problems.

Use uship.com. I used them to ship a bike from Virginia to Indiana and cost about $400.

You go to their web site and put your information in. Tell them from where to where. What it is and so forth.

People bid on the job and send you the bids. uship.com uses independent contractors. It sort of works like ebay. Other people that have used them rate the bidders so you know how dependable they are. You decide on which bid you want to accept. The guy I decided on runs around the country in a van and moves bikes all the time. He was very professional and he was actually the lowest bidder.

BTW, nothing had to be drained.

Stay away from INCOGNITO EXPRESS and EXPRESS AUTO TRANSPORT. My bike sat in the back of a trailer for 28 days!! took 44 days to get the bike from the time I paid for shipping. RIP OFF!!!!! Oh and the guy that answers the phones for Incognito is a total A-HOLE!!!

Thanks for all the replys. It would be ideal to fly down and ride it home, but work is a little to hectic right now to take the time off.Have looked at federal/allied as they give a discount to AMA members and they quoted about $550.00.Again I appreciate the replys.

If you can't do it yourself then don't risk it and imho use allied/federal.
