I have the overpass pants.
I rode 150 miles last Saturday in Atlanta and the rain was epic. Mosoon type stuff.
I was completely dry. The boot covers made a great difference over the last gear I had.
Exceptionally effective gear, but pack-ability is definitely an issue.
The Aerostitch is a serious suit. It's expensive, but I've heard that it will last a long time.
I'm looking to go the route of just having a riding suit that can handle all weather also. I just have to commit to it. I know that BMW makes several.
Nice photo and achievement of reaching the Contiinental Divide; something else I'll have to do.
It is great gear. If your ever in Duluth MN. Check out their store. The price gets you gear that's made in the USA. For a fee it can be altered to fit...lengthened here...shortened there. They also do repairs on the gear should you crash.
I'm not picking on you in a mean way, it just made me chuckle...
I've ridden on days when the sun is out but the road is full of water and the water spray from the passing cars and trucks is unreal.
The gear has to breathe. Full length two way zippers on the pants make putting them on a snap. For the jacket...arm pit zips are a must. These help with air flow even in the rain.
I have the hi-vis and love it. I figured if conditions were bad enough for me to need a rainsuit, I want something people can see. And yes I use the suspenders.

You are 100% correct ... I like all the vents possible for when they are necessary. There is not too many things worse than feeling like a sweaty pig in a plastic bag that you just can't get out of... But it still made me chuckle..
