Default Best Road King windshield?

The stock shield on my 09 Road King passes right through my line of sight. I'd like to hear from other Road King riders with similar experience on changes that worked for them. Thanks

I bought a Memphis Shades smoked 17" replacement. Excellent shield and perfect height. Much better quality than stock. They have several different sizes, FYI.

I had the same issue, drove me crazy.
Went with a 17" Clearview recurve and love it. Don't even notice the top of the shield anymore

I went with the HD windshield- medium height- (one size down) solved that problem.. but then I bought the SE wind "break" which totally solved the problem but not much wind protection.... go figure- but does look cool!!

Got a replacement shield that was 2" lower than stock from rifle.com. It was $135.00 shipped. Great quality, works like a champ.

Unless you really want a new one, have the one on your bike cut by a professional before you decide to order a new one. When I first bought my bike the windshield was at my eye level and I either had to stretch to look over or hunker to look through it. I took it into a professional plexiglass cutter and had 2" taken off. My problem was fixed and it cost me $20.

Good luck

17" Clearview simply the best I have ever used.

I have the 17" Clearview recurve and like it a lot but the cheapest satisfactory way to go is to have yours cut down or do it yourself. Instructions are somewhere on this forum.

I had that problem until I put a Mustang seat on the Road King. It raised me up enough that I now look over the windshield instead of right at the edge.

Take it to a plastic shop and have them cut 2" off, works great. I did that to my 2007 FLHRC
