Ok, thanks for the info. If others are getting them to fit then they must not have a newer Road King or maybe Sears changed the pads.

Let me know how the J&S works out.

I purchased the yellow Sears lift Sunday for $149.99. Worked like charm. I put it in front of the cross member on a 05 Road King Classic and it lifted perfectly. It would not fit in the cross member.

I like the way my yellow one works except for the off balance front to rear. My weight distribution must be heaver in the rear then others because the front end comes up before the rear. I am looking at the J&S jack. It is double the price but they say the lift pad will fit into the cross channel making it stable and it has a foot pump.

Thats correct! It will not fit inside the cross member. I've tried every way possible but the lift pad is too wide. I dont understand how others with this same lift work. I've already returned the lift to Sears and will be purchasing one from J&S instead. It is more expensive but their pad widths are smaller, which will fit inside the cross member.
Smitty, got my J&S jack today. It is great and worth the extra money.
