Question Backrest On A ’09 SG?

I’ve been thinking of putting a backrest on my ’09 Street Glide. I have a HD Sundowner seat (which I think is GREAT) on there now. I have arthritis in both knees, so I’d prefer a backrest that easily folds over for getting on and off the bike. I’m not opposed to using a non-Harley product. The descriptions I’ve read on Harley’s web site don’t give me enough information as to whether or not they easily fold over. Any ideas or recommendations? Pictures or links would be GREAT!!!

I use both the stock SG seat and the Sundowner. I have the HD adjustable backrest. I love it. Easy to take off and it folds down for easy mounting.

I have an older Harley non adjustable backrest that I bought for my 06 FLHT.
I made a (front) bracket and put it on my 09 Ultra.
This unit folds about halfway forward pretty well , then goes the rest of the way pretty hard.
If I had to do it all over , I would probably go with the Mustang backrest.
The Mustang removes and installs easily , flips forward easier , and adjusts on the fly pretty well.
The Mustang also hinges for your back curvature , so it fits you each time you ride.
The Harley is tough to get the right angle on the backrest , so most have to bend the legs to get the proper fit.
Just my observations.

I have the adjustable one on my 06 now, leaves pretty much no room for a passenger with the tour pak on.

Sounds positive for the Mustang backrest and negative for the HD one...

Seems to be tied from what I read.

Get the HD adjustable. It is perfect. It folds down. It is high enough to not bother the rear rider and is very easily removable.
