Smile V&H Fuelpak off - PCIII Installed

I finally wised up and went to a PCIII. I realized this after converting to true duals and the left side exhaust ran awefully hot and I had a lot of decel popping. I was never happy with the way the bike ran with the V&H on there anyway. The PCIII USB is much nicer and the amount of custom maps is sweet as well. I have just one little issue though that I'm hoping the forum as a whole can assist me with. I installed an advanced map M807-247 which is real close to my current setup. I noticed in the map a field called Rev Extend enabled. I'm not sure what this means but I do notice on the bike now that when I roll off of the throttle, that the decel seems slow to react. I think that the PCIII is keeping the rpms up and gradually bringing them back down, no engine breaking. If this is what this field does then it's great during shifting, very smooth because you don't have the engine somewhat doing breaking for you. But anyway, any info about this is greatly appreciated. I have a note into DynoJet but of course I'll have to wait until normal business for those folks.
Thanks

On the PC III the Rev Extend feature raises the rev limiter to a higher RPM than stock (from 5800 to 6500). If you look at the software manual on PCIII program under the Help menu it will show how to activate the Rev Extend.
excerpt taken from S/W Manual:
ACTIVATING REV X-TEND AND START-UP FUEL FEATURES
You activate the Rev X-tend and Start-Up Fuel features using the special Power
Commander Features Dialog. These features can be turned on or off, but do not need
to be configured.
1 Press CTRL+f
The Power Commander Features Dialog box appears on your screen.
2 Enter your feature key in the input box provided. You must get this key from
Dynojet. If you have questions call Dynojet Technical Support.
3 Click Add Feature
Figure 4-5: Adding Features Using the Dialog Box
The features that you have activated appear in the upper portion of the
dialog box.
4 Select the check box adjacent to the feature to activate.
5 Click OK.
Figure 4-6: Selecting Added Features Using the Dialog Box
enter key and
then click
add feature
use check box
to turn feature
on or off

Yesca, Thanks, It all makes sense now. So now I'm at the point where I'm trying to figure out why the rpms stay up and slowly decrease when I roll off of the throttle. i have a note into DynoJet on this. Thanks again
