Default 2007 flhtcu ultra

I have found a 2007 FLHTCU Ultra with 2,895 miles for sale. The bike is super clean. I know that they changed the frame in 2008 with improvements, but would I notice a big difference in ride for 07 to 08 and up. I ride 2-up about 60/40 and I was told it is about a 20% better ride with improvements that were made, is this true?? New would be great but this bike is close to new and looks great. Any opinions would be appreciated, thanks.

I've ridden an 07 Ultra, and now have the 08 Ultra. I easily notice the difference overall with the bike (ABS, and other things). I'd prefer the 08 to the 07, but the 07 is still a fine ride, and if you can get a great price on it, it would definitely be worth considering.

I think the big changes in the frame was 09. I just traded a 07 for a 09. The 09 does handle a bit easier for me, I'm glad I made the change. I heard others say that the difference was not enough to make them trade up, I can understand that because it all comes down to what you want to have out of it. If I rode single all the time my 07 was good, but the 09 handles better two up and that's the way I ride most of the time.

If you worry about every new change, you won't ever buy the bike. Be happy with the deal you found and be happy you found a great deal.

Had I listened to everyone that kept telling me buy an 07 it's got the 6 speed, I would never have bought my 06 FLHTCUI, which I truly enjoy riding. Sure the 6 spedwould have been nice, but at how much more money? Plus the deal I got on my 06 pleased my financial concern. Live to ride, ride to live!

Yes, can save some money $$ as not buying new, I'm moving up from a dyna sper glide so I would assume the ride would be much better, especially 2-up which we are doing more. 2007 model year is not that old............with only 2,895 miles.

The 07 rides great. But IMO so did my 91 Ultra and every other Harley I have owned. As fladawg01 posted, if you worry about every new change you will never get around to riding.

I have an 07 Road King and I do not have a single complaint about how it rides. It does have some minor modifications but every Harley owner I have ever known does those whether needed or not. That's just the way we are.

Nothing wrong with an '07, if the price is right go for it.

I have the 07 ultra and love it. I put the Bagger Brace on it and it made a huge difference in how it handles. Good, low miles so I would say go for it!

The 07 was the year the MOCO broadly promoted the 96 engine. There were some teething problems - particularly with 5th gear and the Isolated Drive Sprocket - more commonly called the cush drive on the 08's. A lot of 07 buyers were so disgruntled with the 5th gear clatter that they dumped the bikes, needlessly IMO.

The 07 doesn't have ABS (not a big deal) and utilizes postive throttle connections (vice throttle by wire).

As stated, the 09's have the bigger frame (rear tire).

Check to see if this bike is fitted with the IDS kit - then read up on it.

Most likely a good bike - at the right $$.

Good luck.

I don't think you'll be unhappy at all. Almost 23,000 care free miles on mine. I did add the IDS, and for me, it made a difference.
