I think they raised it a lil bit to allow use of the vented lowers, which will be on the new ultra fugly

Saw a red 2010 RG the other day. The huge differance I noticed is the fairing supports that are attached to the fairing and the freeway bar are angled to accept the use of the vented lowers like the ones on the bat wings. Should just be a part number away and swap out your old and put them on and you can put on any lower you want. Have not verified this yet,because they vented do not come in orange and last time I had a panted part from a dealer had to get the factory one anyway. But those who have black or a color that matches a bat wing, good luck.

It is angled to accept lowers as stated. You would need to change the fairing mount bracket, 58530-10 and the fairing support mounts, 58454-10 and 58460-10. The other difference is they did away with clear plastic shield and use a "hardened" headlamp assembly.
