right at 23000 on my 07 Road King Classic. Its been a great bike. No problems to mention. I love riding and the 6th speed has been a great thing on the highway. Very happy so far.
I've only had my 2007 Road King Custom since March. I've been reading not only this thread, but other threads concerning the 2007 models and it started to give me cause for concern. I really don't notice any 5th gear whine, but hey - what do I know. I wear a half helmet so maybe the wind noise disguises the whine. Perhaps I am just not sophisticated enough to understand what I am supposed to be hearing. The bike runs really well. At least I think it does. My question is - If the 5th gear is whining, would I definitely know it? This is only my second Harley having sold my 2000 Dyna in 2005. Thanks.
I definitely noticed the 5th gear whine on my Ultra. I came off a 2004 Dyna and was used to not hearing any drive train noises at all so it caught me off guard. After reading posts here, everyone says the 5th gear whine is normal. I am used to it now and when traveling in 5th, which is most of the time, I don't even hear it any more. Yeah, I am a little annoyed by all of the problems the 2007's seems to have, but someone here said it well: people post here when they have problems, not when they don't so all we will read here is problems. Makes sense to me, but it still makes me nervous. I am used to the bikes noises now so now I have my noise baseline and can tell if something is unusual.
I have an 07 SG....Just coming up on my 45,000 mile service....nothing major with the engine...a couple of broken fairing brackets recently...lovin' my bike still!!!
Over 30,000 on my 2007 Ultra. Have had the shifter ratchet break at the weld, cruise control module went out, one of the radio switches went out, needed a stater plug replaced to fix a small leak - all of these covered by the warranty. Other little things. My 7 year unlimited miles warranty was probably worth the money. I like the Dunlop E3 tires, they last much longer than the D402's and handle much better. I'm just now putting a SE Stage 1 on along with the ECM calibration, to go with my SE slipons that I got a year ago.
13500 And no complaints at all except I wish I lived where I could ride more. I swear in central Illinois in january riding is just showing off its not at all enjoyable.
