Got it on my 01 RK and should be no mechanical differences. One of the best looking upgrades I have done. That and fat handle bars to hide my wiring. Well, then there is the Kuryakyn chrome frame covers, chrome voltage regulator cover, Willie G. etched headlight, yada yada......

Now I'm second guessing my self on the rain sock thing. Maybe I should run with the sock on all the time to cut down on the need to clean and recharge the filter. The sock does look cool on my orange bike but I still thing it looks better without it. At the end of the day though if it's better to have the sock on 24/7 that's how I will roll.

I wouldn't worry about keeping the sock on to prevent you from having to re-charge too often. Like I said, if you're only riding 2 K a year, then re-charge it once a year. It only takes ten minutes of actual work (not including drying time for the filter). You could keep it on all the time though, some people do, and I'm positive that it won't keep enough air out so that you would notice a difference in performance.
