I carry one of the yellow tire inflators that uses pellet gun CO2 canisters, and a tire plug kit that I found walmart's auto section.

 

I carry Slime with a small compressor. Had to use the Slime once in a pinch and worked great for a nail hole. Techs don't care for it much but if it gets you home or to the hotel so be it.

 

Does it work with tube tires?

 

Thanks for all the reply's and info. I just picked up a Slime mini compressor yesterday and gonna be picking up a plug kit next. Its good to see so many riders out there prepared for road hazards. Ride Safe everyone!

I use the CO2 type inflater and the string type plugs but thats actually irrelevant. Anything is better than being completely unprepared.

My fascination with this thread however is that it may be the first time I've ever seen a subjective question asked around here that didn't have a single negative response posted.
