Longer Headset cords for 09 Ultra
Does Anyone know it you can buy longer radio headset cords, the ones that come with the Harley headsets seem a little short, especially for the Rider headset ? I have tried thru the Dealer but They don't have any listed, maby after market! By the way I like this board, seems to be alot of good info here. Ride Safe

My wife had a problem plugging into the passenger headset port located on the left bottom of the tour-pac. I re-routed the cable and port up thru the seat-back opening so that the plug-in is now sticking up thru the seat at the seat-back (hope that isn't too wordy). It is a breeze for her to plug it in now after she gets on the bike and length is no longer a problem either.

this is what I did also. I have a pegboard with hooks and just hooked the cord on each end and stretched it out over a few days. every couple of weeks I stretch it back out, but works great for me and free fix

Best thing you can do is to get rid of the HD headsets and get the J&M. The new headsets come with a much longer cord.
The plus is that the quality of the sound is 300% better than HD.
I purchased the Performance headset (cheaper) and we listen to the XM thru the headset all the time now.
I can't say anything about the J&M Elite, other than it cost more.
Once again, J&M is well worth the money.
