Harley Dealers must change!

Here is my short history: Dealer A: 4 miles from my office advised my to take ABATE get the Motorcycle Endorsment and come back for test rides. Then they decided since I only had the ABATE class experience NO test rides and they sell 99% of their bikes to people who don't need test rides. Dropping $20K and no test ride??? Dealer B 35 miles away test rides Heritage Softail Classic, Road King, Ultra. Dealer C 40 miles away, test rides Road King, Heritage Softail Classic, Road Glide, V-Rod. Dealer D 75 miles away and Heritage Softail Classic, Road King, Ultra rides. Dealer B, C and D wanted my business and were very good dealers. Dealer B,C and D knew I ONLY had Abate experience but still wanted me to experience the passion.

Wow, It's nice to see nothings changed on this forum. Gone for over 2 months and come back to see the same old bitching and moaning. It's good to see the "Regulars" are still here and now I see some new people have joined the ranks......... God knows we needed a few more!
So is there any rumors on the 2011 models? What's the latest exhaust talk? Has ABS killed anyone lately? Has anyone drove DAWG away?

I have seen good and bad dealers as I have been around the country. My two closest shops, Hammond Harley-Davidson (Hammond, LA) and Harley-Davidson of Jackson (Jackson, MS) are great folks. The parts guys at Hammond Harley-Davidson make me feel like Norm from Cheers! They announce when I have entered the building. All three Smokey Mountain Harley-Davidson locations and Gail's Harley-Davidson (Kansas City) make my visits a fun/enjoyable experience!

My theory is “don’t rant about a dealer if you aren’t going to name him” or at least tell us where you are from. It doesn’t take 3 minutes to update your profile with your location.
You aren't talking about East Texas are you? At least my dealer has the common courtesy to give you a reach around.

was there someone who forced you to own a harley, pointman? or did they force you go go into all of these harley dealerships? of course they didn't. harleys are at the top of the foodchain in motorcycling. honda, kawasaki, suzuki and yamaha as well as victory build bikes that imitate our harleys. you have a choice. from the looks of your streetglide you made the right choice. ride safe.
