Do you have more pictures of your bike with this handlebar?
Thank you!

Default Changing Bars Yourself?

I've got an '09 R.K. Standard and I'm going to go with either the Heritage style or the R.K. high bars. If I understand so far, neither bar requires any cable or wire changes? My question is this. I'm pretty good mechanically and do a lot of my own work. I'd like to install the bars myself. How hard is it to do? Particularly, the disassembly and reassembly of the handlebar clamp shroud that's part of the headlamp nacelle to get to the bar bolts?

Had installed the HD Pillow Look Seat (51729-09) on my 2009 FLHRC and I'm simply in love with it! It's a new bike! Later I'll post some pics..

Question,
I have had the Heritage bars on my 08 RK and they seemed to have my wrists at a akward angle. Does anyone know if the Heritage bars for the 09> FLHR ABS (which I own now ) are different or the exact same bars.

Also does anyone know if the RK high bars have a less of a wrist angle then the heritage ones?

On my 09 RK with the stock seat the bars seems to be off only about a inch. I tried the Mustang solo which seemed to move me back a couple inches. Wich of the above bars would be better?

If I left the stock bars on would anyone know if the Sundowner seat would move me a bit more forward?

Bike has ABS and I have a 32" inseam and around 6'01"

Of course the dealer does not really stock any bars, he tells me to go sit on different bikes in the shop and see if there is anything that I like. Problem is that there are no 09 or 10 models in there w/ non stock bars.

Long story short, they felt great at first. But after a few weeks, my wrists again started hurting due to the wrist angle of the bars. Similiar problem that I had with the Heritage Style bars, but to a lesser degree. It must just be my wrists, as the vast majority of people love either these bars or the Heritage Style bars.

Here's my thread that dicusses my experience. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...handlebar.html
