Default Shocks

I just finished cleaning my SG and checked the air in the shocks. They were empty and will not hold air. I checked them for leaks and can't find any. I have a long ride planned for tomorrow, does anyone know if it is okay to ride with no air in the shocks until I can get them taken care of?
This is my first bagger after having a Fatboy in the past. Thanks.

I bought my RKC new in 04. I didn't buy an air pump for it til it was 4 months old. When I checked the pressure it read 0. I'm not sure there was any air in it to begin with. I must have pumped 20 times and still it wouldn't register. I thought I had it on wrong or there was a leak. I put it back on and pumped another 30 times before it would register. Havn't lost any air since. Maybe you didn't put enough air in them.

I was told by my mech. that solo you need no air in the shocks, 2 up you need about 15-20psi depensing on the weight of the passanger. My wife is about 110 and I run about 15 psi 2 up and let the air out solo, hope this helps.

When I picked mine up from the dealer they were empty, If it's just you on the bike you should be fine. If you have a passenger you'll need to air up those shocks.

I put 15lbs. of air in them and checked them about 10 mins. later and they registered 0. I then put 20lbs. in and they were empty within a couple minutes. I will be riding solo so it's good to hear that it should be okay. Thanks for the responses.
