Default PC-V or Ridemaxx Plus

I have a 08 StreetGlide with V&H's Dresser Duals and Monster Ovals. I like the ideal of changing the map on the fly with the Ridemaxx Plus. Is the PC-V much better than the Ridemaxx for my basic setup?

Not sure the PCV is "much" better. Really depends if you want to optimize the timing. My understanding is that the Ridemaxx will not allow adjusting the timing.

For a basic setup, probably not necessary. (though on my map with the PCV and slip-ons the timing is altered, cruise and WOT.)

Also, note, one can change maps with the PCV if i remember correctly. Essentially switch between two maps (or a base map and auto-tune if AT is installed).

You can change PCV maps on the fly if you buy the MAP Selector Switch

RideMaxx gives you the choice of 3 maps on the fly... Its a good system, and about the easiest thing I have ever installed. remove seat, unplug ecu, plug in RideMaxx, plug in Ecu, replace seat. ride the danged thing.

They do give you the options so you can play with the settings, you can change the map with a bluetooth device. Customization can be a good thing. Unit is very easy to use and totally wireless.

The pcv and at does the same thing that the RideMaxx does and you do not need a bluetooth device.
I will say if it works as well as the pcv it is a good thing.
The only reason you would need the at for is to have different maps so you can change on the fly. The pcv does great without the at.
It took me 30 min. to install my pcv, about the same as the RideMaxx.
It is one of those things which ever fits you.
I went with the pcv due of cam change. My mileage went up 4 mpg

What ever works for ya
