Default Do rush 1.5" baffles sound good?

I have v&h true duals headers with rush mufflers 2" baffles. They are loud, I have tried repacking with silent sport packing from fuel moto. I was wondering if 1.5" bafffles would be too sharp in tone. I want the deep tone i have now just less db's. Seems like all this started when bought a full face helmet sounds like hammering when wearing it. You would think a full face helmet would be quieter, but not, ear plugs do help some. I just dont want to buy more mufflers. Bike is 1995 road king 80" evo 10.1 compression, crane cam 252-262 duration, 500 lift, that doesn't help matters. Just trying make it sound good and not so loud. Also installed a detachable fairing with stereo thats why looking for less noise on long trips. Thanks Speedy.

spoke to rush tech on the phone today said I would lose some hp with 1.5" baffles and sound would change lose some of the deepness in tone. Might think about the 1.75" baffles.
