Can use some advice. Have a Cee Baily Super Step Contour 15" windshield was a little small was getting the wind right in the eyes, if I tuck my 2nd chin in it was fine. Then I purchased a road zeppelin seat, very nice by the way. My problem is now I'm sitting taller in the saddle, so I need a new windshield. I like to look over the shield so it can't be to tall. I'm thinking of the clearview 14.5" tinted With Upper Recurve. Or the Memphis Shades 15" inch But wondering if this would be to tall. I'm 6'2" sit rather straight in the sadddle, the stock shield was low. Anybody riding with one of these on there EG. Any advice would be helpfull.

Holy crap man! I am 6'2" and I can't see over anything taller than 10". I now run a LongRide 8" and it's fine. You must be all neck or something.

 

I was thinking the same thing. I can't see over the stock 12"

 

Goes to show you how height alone can be deceiving. I'm 6'1" and the stock 12" shield is right in my line of sight with the stock seat. The Clearview 9.5" with recurve works perfectly for me - I can see over it well and there's no buffeting.

 

Call Clearview w/recurve and they'll help you out, even send you a couple of sizes and you just return the one you don't want.

 

+1 on this, I am 6'1" and have a Cleraview 9.5" recurve, perfect height for me. Damn, a 15" windshield would be pretty tall, I would be looking through it for sure.

 

Cee Baily Super Step Contour is measured differently. They measure the lenght of the shield not the height of the sheild. I'm 6' and had a 13 1/2"" Cee Baily and it wasn't near tall enough. I know have a 9 1/2" Clearview and it's perfect.

My winter shield is a Clearview 15.5 with recurve and I promise you won't be looking over it.... I'm 6'5"
I'm following your post cause I wondered to what is a good long haul shield that I can still look over. Gets pretty expensive playing the guessing game with shield heights.

 

Yip, I borrowed my neighbors clearview 9.5 dark recurve, when I got off the bike I went on line and ordered one for me, It should ship this week.

 

A friend of mine has the Clearview tinted with upper recurve and it is very nice. To tall for me though. I use the 9 1/2 lightly tinted.
