Air Cleaner/Slip-On Fitment
Does anyone know the physical differences in the SE air cleaner from 02-07 to 08 and later?
Also, the differences in slip-ons from 07-08 to 09?

the backing plate on the 08 and newer accomodate the larger 50 mm throttle body. the earlier air filter backing plates had the smaller opening for the throttle body, is about the only difference i know of. and the cover on the 08 and newer will have a cutout at the top on some air cleaners to allow them to clear the 6 gallon tank that the 07 and earlier models did not have. they used the 5 gallon which is a narrower tank.

I don't think so, but see if you can find the PN stamped on the muffler and check on the HD
accessory page .
