Got my pipes! Got my pipes!
Whew, finally, its been over month since i have decided to go ahead and do it, boy am I glad I did!
'98 FLHRCI, already had stage one when I got it, whoo hoo[:'(]
Here's the lowdown of what I had done thsi time:
VH Big SHot TD's, look and sound greeeat! Nice crack to them, good tight lowend rumble, but sounds pretty calm riding it. Can easily back off through neighborhoods, etc and when you snap that throttle, bam! Wehn I got home, I had my soon to be father in law ride it so I could hear it. Man, sound is fabulous from the sidelines, couldn;t believe it! Nice sleek bends, all one piece shields look great!
Ness Big Sucker, seems ot be doing its job, sticks out a wee bit more than stock, but nothing bad at all.
PCIII! My mech doesn't do a lot with EFI since he primarily builds custom choppers, but he must have gotten the right map cause this baby moves! I said I would prefer more lowend opposed to top end, and that's what I got! 2nd and fourth just smoke! Also pulls very hard 50-65. Performance had really improved, I am going to get it painted thsi winter, so I plan on having it dynoed next spring. I also kept trying to get it to pop on decel like it did before, it did maybe twice )and very faintly) in close to 100 miles.
Also went with the extended shifters (I am 6", size 12" shoe), looks wat farther than I imagined, but man, within a few minutes I was at home, so much more comfy and room.
And the absolute best thing and chepaest I have done for $25....EZ Clutch! I can;t believe it! I am only 34, but suffer from carpral tunnel and tendonitis fromt ime to time. My clutch before wasn't too bad, but in lots of stop go, it would bother me on occasion, I htought what the heck for a little $ try it. Wow, amazing, this thing pulls effortlessly now! If you have thought about it, do it!
All in all, so very happy with all these new parts. I am sure the filter, pipes, and PCIII all play their own part so I can;t say thsi one does this, etc. but together, they rock! I can highly recommend anyone considering any of the above to simply do it, you will not regret it!
I know, worthless w/o pics, don;t worry, let me polish it upa little and I'll post some tomorrow!

RE: Got my pipes! Got my pipes!
It's about time Scoot. Don't ya just love the pipes? I have to baby the bike out of the neighborhood when I leave for work at 1am. The main road I take to the highway is about a mile or 2 from the house and my wife says she can hear me open it up when I get there. She said it sounds great. I wish I had someone to ride it for me so I can hear the pipes myself. Guess I will just have to enjoy them from the best seat in the house: the drivers seat. You and I have the exact same setup so I definitely know where you are coming from. Enjoy!!
