Default Rinehart Tru-Duals for Street Glide

I'm hearing that on this system you have to move the rear pegs up a couple of inches because of the increase in pipe diameter. Is there any truth to this? I'm getting conflicting reports from Direct Parts and Bub\Rinehart, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Why not just bolt on a set of badass, 3" Hard Krome (the real deal) duals, no clamps required!

I have the newest Rinehart True Duals on my StreetGlide. Dealer installed them, but I can't see where/how they would've moved the passenger pegs. I do recall the left hand side pipe is real close to the peg, but not touching. Hope this helps ?

BTW, they sound awesome. Fairly quiet when riding easy, but get real loud and mean when you bring the RPMs up.

Thanks for the reply, I think I'll take the leap. I'm also reading these pipes help with the heat that is generated by the stock pipes, any truth to that? I'm looking at doing the same mods you have done, how do you like the performance? Is your EFI or carbed? Thanks for the info.

Mine is EFI. When I left the dealer after having the Rineharts & stage II stuff installed, it was like riding a different bike. It pulls so much harder in every gear it's unbelievable.

As for heat, I'm sorry to say I only had the bike stock for 1,000 miles and I can't remember the left/right heat difference between stock pipes and the true duals.
