Default New stereo and questions

So went to best buy kicking around wasting time. I looked at a few stereos and they had the one I wanted opend box for 99. Its an apline ida x200 media center no cd player. I understand I need hardware to install in bike. I looked at biketronics and their kit looks to be 100 or so, is that right ?

If your wanting your handlebar switches to control this new head unit you can buy a mounting kit plus a controller from either Biketronics as you mentioned or Hawg Wired. I know the Hawg Wired controller supports the Alpine unit you mentioned but not sure about Biketronics. One other note is Biketronics controller supports (AVC)automatic volume control and Hawg Wired doesn't if that's of importance to you.

Biketronics handlebar controls will work with any stereo that has support for an optional wired remote. That's where the handlebar control module pugs into.

I have the Biketronics and a Sony CDX-M50IP I got from "Buy.com" for $109. Works great! I love the Direct IPOD connect, I ran the cable back to my tour pac and plug the IPOD in and control it from the handle bar controls and the IPOD is also being charged at the same time.
