Default Recall

Obtained this from the Harley Davidson web site:

Athere are one or more open safety recalls on your vehicle. The following list contains the recall number and brief recall description:
0900: PROD.CMP.'06 FL TOURING ING.SW

Thought wll of you 06 owners would like to know. My stealer indicated there was a campaign going on with regard to the recal, however, none of the local stealers have parts yet.

I just called my dealer and asked what the deal is. Seems the ignition switch can get stuck in the "locked" position and they have to pull it apart and replace it if that happens. Supposedly the MoCo is sending out repair kits (which the dealers don't have yet) and they will contact affected owners when they have them. Not really a safety issue - it won't lock on you going down the road.

My 03 Classic did that a bunch of times. You had to smack the lock a bunch of times to get the tumblers to quit sticking.

My dealer just called today telling about the recall. He said they have parts in hand. I have an SG.
