Default Modified HD front fender from BadDad

i am thinking about buying this modified HD fender for my ultra....anyone used this set-up from badDad?

http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d4...n/DSCF1543.jpg

Touring Slammed Fender - $290.00 - $380.00
Fits Touring
The Slammed Front Fender is a surefire way to give your Touring bike that hot rod look! Starting with an original HD fender, a laser cut fender bracket is welded into the fender to allow it to sit lower over the bike's tire. This lowers the fender over an inch lower than stock and brings the front of the fender down so it's parallel with the ground. It also eliminates the stock rivets, which leaves the fender sides totally smooth.

When i install this front fender - I will also be installing a Street glide rear fender w/ facia.....and painting the entire bike a red metal flake....just one color.

thanks in advance for the help!!!!

Artie

Might wanna look at www.541baggers.com or www.nativecustombaggers.com . They have just the brackets for like $50. If you are handy do it yourself to your own fender or have someone weld them in for you. Bet it'd be a bunch cheaper.

yea.....thought about that as well...but when i looked at the numbers buying from BDad does not appear to be to bad a deal.

I can buy a new SG fender shipped to my door from Zanotti for $254.00. Then i would need to grind and weld the rivots down, and install the $50 lowering bracket.

The fender i am considering buying from Baddad is $300.....

what would really make this work is if i bought a used SG fender and did the work! I do not want to reuse and bondo up my stock UC fender. I could sell it to offset some of my costs.

does this logic sound right to you all??????????

Check out the Benchmark front fender from Klock Werks. It looks close to a stock fender but with small changes. I like mine

Like drewski1325 said native customs has the brackets or you can send them your fender and they will put brackets on for you then you just take it to your painter. Native customs did two fenders for me. One for my road king and one for my street glide. When its all painted and on the bike it looks very nice.

That's a good looking fender once complete. I think it'll look good in RED.
