Default 3" Drop Seat Kit??

I saw this on the internet and thought of Monstermiles thread about seat height issues.

Has anyone tried this kit yet from Fat Baggers Inc? It seems there are a lot lookers for '09 and '10 bikes, but they have the 'too high or too fat' seat issue.

http://www.fatbaggers.com/index.html

Product Description

3" DROP SEAT CONVERSION FOR 2009 HARLEY TOURING MODELS, KIT INCLUDES, POWDERCOATED SUBFRAME ASSEMBLY,LEFT & RIGHT SIDECOVERS, UNPAINTED.WE ALSO OFFER THEM PAINTED. BATTERY BOX, TSM MOUNT, FUSE BOX MOUNT, & CUSTOM TWO UP SEAT. REQUIRES ADDIONAL KIT FOR ABS MODELS.

Has anyone bought this kit yet?

Seems like this would void all warranties and not sure how the bike would handle?? Also seems a little radical, IMO.

I would like to know more about this setup.................and it would probably make the Stock Street Glide windshield about right. LOL

I think it would definately void the warrenty, Harley ain't gonna like you cutting their frame.

This is a bolt in part, with no cutting!?!?!?!??????

See below, from the FBI web site.

The New and Innovative Bolt-On Drop Seat Conversion Kit for 2009 touring models from Fat Baggers, Inc. drops stock seat height 3" without altering clearance or suspension! With the 09’s 2-Piece chassis, simply remove rear components, bolt on the FBI subframe kit then reinstall stock components.
For someone who seems to like their '09, like I thought Monstermile did, this would be cheaper than losing money on the trade,.....maybe.

there is no frame cutting at all, the whole rear subframe unbolts and the new FBI frame bolts in with a new battery box. There are also seats that move you closer to the bars if you want.

If I can swing a new 09 or 10, I'm gonna get me one of those kits. Always wanted a bagger that sat like a softail!
