Horn Removal
Has anyone ever removed the horn from their bike? I looked at mine last night. I tried removing it from the motor bracket but didn't want to force the stud. There is a nut on the back of the bracket that the stud runs through. Is it welded or just on there really tight?

RE: Horn Removal
BEWARE!
If you will be putting the original horn back on please be careful to torque only to factory specs.
Overtightening will ruin the horn and leave you with the sound of the horn as if a sock were stuffed in it.
The stock horn is not only weak sounding but also very fragile.
If switching to another better horn then bombs away.

I am having the same problem on my 2010 Fatboy Lo. The stud holding the rubber spacer won't come out. How did you get it off?

The rubber horn mount is symmetrical. After you take off the horn the stud you see is identical to the stud holding the rubber spacer to the mounting bracket. While you unscrewed a nut off the stud to remove the horn, you must unscrew the rubber mount off the bracket, as it is screwed into a welded on nut. The nut is going nowhere! The rubber mount is steel backed, so with care you may be able to use a pipe wrench to unscrew it. Hope that helps!
