I rode one and had to have one. Love the RK also but on a 100 mile+ ride you will wish you had the bat wing and radio.

 

All I can say is GO FOR IT!!!

 

I got the 09 rk cause i love wind in the face to a certian extent and cruisin around the area. got a dragonfly fairing for weekend trips and cold season. workin on tour pack and ill have the complete set up from bar bike to cross country tourer

 

Got my RKC back in 02 and now added a 07 FLHTP this april. Hate to say it but the FLHTP gets more road time.

 

I went with the RKC.
I put the 17" short windshield , and cruise away.
If I'm hittin' the highway, I sit lower in the seat, legs on the pegs, and go.

Also added my own tunes.

 

Just upgraded from a 1200L sportster to a 2008 SG and I love it!!!! now to sell my sporty before my wife kills me

 

And thats a good thing cause full dressers only come in just one color - black!

 

Loved my 04 King. Great bike. Like my 09 SG much more, wouldn't go back.

 

I had an 08 RK and loved it. Just bought the 09 Street Glide and can't believe how much more fun riding the SG is. I've never riden a bike that feels this good. I'm an old F-16 pilot, with the lazy boy like recliner seat. The SG give me a similar feeling of sitting IN the bike, as apposed to sitting on tip of it like the RK.

I didn't like the fairing as well but my bike has the riding lights that look just like the Electra Glide.

I spent about a hour walking back N forth between a SG and a RK! I just knew I wanted it in Red Hot SunGlo! (superficial b1tch that I am!!) I wanted hard bags, did'nt care about radio, and such! But I loved that drop *** look of the SG! YET.........Momma had to be happy!!! Test rode a SG and it rode like a POS compared to my Heritage!! Nixed by the boss!! After talking to several owners/ dealers they conveyed the test ride had no air in the shocks!!!!SO I rode another SG with air!! OH yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! I take mine in for the first service this weekend!! I love it!! All the stuff I did'nt care about!!!!!!!! Rocks!!!! It's a helluva bike!! It took me 49 years to get my first Harley! It was a hard give up ! But I'm looking back a whole lot less than I thought I would!!
