Hi, I'm new here, Im having an intermitten prob with my 2006 EG. It seems that sometimes when slowing to a stop or when first stoped at a light the engin stumbles out. the idle isn not catching to keep it running. most of the time everything is normal. anyone have this prob? trying to narrow it down. Also I have a lot of popping and some small backfireing on decel. (air getting in the exhaust) don't know if this could be connected. Im gonna try and torque down and reseal exhaust system to see if that helps but i don't think its connected to the stalling. What do you guys think? Any suggestions and Ideas are appreciated. thanks.
Same issue on my fuel injected 06 Road King - the o-ring in the fuel line quick disconnect under the tank wore out and tore. I replaced the o-ring and problem solved. cannot get o-ring from dealer -not a user servicable part by MOCO but any rubber specialty shop should have the replacement - yes it is also a metric sizing ring.
My 07 did the same thing about a month ago. Once I limped it home, it idled fine and hasn't died since. Dunno if it was bad gas or just an air bubble / blockage or something. Either way, it run fine now...
