Anyone seen a good looking air kit that will work on a 09 (something that looks like it came out of the 50's) ? Looking for ideas and would like something different....

 

I am running a S&S teardrop air cleaner kit on my 08 RK, It looks great and has that old school design. Sergeant206

 

I tried a few options and ended up with a plain old Nastalgic round on my 09 Ultra. Simple and clean and works for me. Hated the football.

 

I put the round one on also... clean and classic... definitely better then the football

i'm using the round nostalgic one also. looks very similar to the one i had on an old 53 panhead. to me they look sweet. be sure you get the one with the cut out at the top, as the straight edged ones will not have enough clearance for the 6 gallon tank.

 

My bike runs really good and I am also thinking about an Ol' School air filter. The problem is that I don't want to upgrade to stage 1, or change the ECM parameters with a download. This brings the question, Is there an air filter that works like the OEM but its round to fit round filter housings? did all of you that changed to round had to do the stage 1 upgrade?

I can't speak to covering the factory A/C with a round couver. Here is what I did. I got the idea from someone off this forum. I used the smooth cover and added the insert from my football cleaner. Not the best pic but it gives you the idea.
