Default Priced a new Ultra Limited

Went saturday to price a new Ultra Limited, I was in Bakersfield so I thought I stop in.... they had a blue/black one(sold of course) on the fllor, I asked te guy what the price is... get this, he said it lists at 29.9K

All I needed to hear, (to quote george thoroughgood) And out the door I went...

I wouldn;t have bought it there as I stay pretty loyal to my local dealer, but WOW, that was ridiculous....

Note on the bike... LOVE THE NEW GUAGES!!!!!............I like the idea of the heated grips, but damn MOCO, couldn't you of at least put chrome ones on...

Adding $2000.00 to the MSRP is why I ended up with a new "09. I like the guages and the 103, but I can do without the heated grips that constantly fail.

You tell them they must be waking up from a wet dream. There is no way I would pay over MSRP for a Bike or a Trike. The truth be told I'm not impressed with them. I was looking at a Ultra Limited at out of town dealer that had the special paint and it was just a tick over 25k with freight and prep. The cone heads at the Moco mounted the tour-pak rack so far towards the rear you couldn't get a lighted spoiler to fit, heated grips mean nothing to me and I ride in cold weather in the NE. The 103 for 2010 is a pig, I have one in my 2010 Triglide and my dads 09 TG would have no problems kicking its azz. When the Moco publishes that the 103 makes 101ft/lbs or tq at 3,500 rpm they must have gotten those number off the old CVO 103's. Heck there are guys running 103" with 255 cams and decent pipes and a good tune just hitting the 100ft/lb mark, there is no way in the Moco's wildest dreams does the 2010 103" TC make that type of power. I don't know about the 2 wheel bikes but I can tell you the heat on the Triglide is pretty uncomfortable. It gets to the point at times where I just want to get off and not get back on the sucker.

We looked at a couple of these at different dealers (curious, not interested in buying). Wasn't at all impressed. Paint is different, but not our cup of tea. Badging is different, but not our cup of tea. Heated grips that fail, not our cup of tea. Gauges look nice...but not worth moving to a Limited.

74692-10 Tach $159.95
74682-10 Speedo $159.95
74688-10 Fuel $49.95
74689-10 Air $49.95
74690-10 Oil $49.95
74691-10 Volt $49.95

59249-10 Limited fender nameplates $20x2
62316-10 Fuel tank LH nameplate $75
62317-10 Fuel tank RH nameplate $75

Cheaper to buy the gauges and nameplates and make your own limited! $659.75 total....minus the grips, cuz those suck. Then build a 103 (not SE).
