A couple hundred miles either way won't make a pinch of pi$$ worth of difference. Take your trip and do the 1000 mile after you come back.

And xxxflhrci : I know Joe personally and metal in the oil is an option left to the customer since some don't appreciate the beauty of sparkly oil while servicing their machine.
