Default Stock Shocks

The previous owner put low profile shocks on the rear of my '07 FLHT. When I purchased the bike the stock shocks came with it but I left the low profiles on. I ran the bike for just over a year that way and today I decided to put the stock shocks back on. WOW!!! What a difference in the ride quality. I see why they call them Glides now. Anyone else done this and noticed a significant change for the better?

I took off the Low Profile shocks and installed 13" touring shocks on my '10 Street Glide.
WHY???? I have a 20 year old drive in a fifty year old body.

What's the best way to get these stock 13 inch shocks? I'm tired of my SG low profile shocks already as well.

Now it's a sweet ride.
No more harsh bumps in the road. The SG rides as good as my RG.
I'm 6ft with 31" inseam......so the 1" gain was not a big deal.

I knew that I was going to get a SG.....so I told my HD parts guys to have the look out
for someone ordering HD low profile shocks. I worked a deal out with him and bought his touring shocks.
I watched them on ebay.....and offered him a fair price. I picked them up at the parts counter
as new and less than half price too.

That's a good result. In my case being 5' 8" the extra inch wouldn't work.

Have you tried a 13" shock bike? And a lower profile seat such as a Corbin?

You don't look too vertically challenged.

I have a Sundowner seat installed and it was OK but not an all day seat for me. So I sent it to MCC and had them do the Comfort Rider option which put the seat about the same height, or maybe a tiny bit higher. I am in the process if installing a Progressive Drop-in lowering kit to bring it down 1". I'm going to see what that does and go from there. Just trying to get a little more flat footed. I also have a C&C solo seat for shot rides.

The 13" stock shocks are a good economical option thou.
