Default Do you have a HD backrest on your 09

I had a HD back rest on my 07, it was ok but I had to bend the backrest mounts just a little to make it feel right, it bulged into the lower part of my back until I did that. What does the backrest for the 09 feel like ,are you happy with it, do you feel like it needs to go a little farther back to be more comfortable?

WWflyingace posted a pic comparison of the two brackets side by side between the old bracket and the new -09 bracket. Here's the pic. You can see the difference and how it is back a little farther.

I bought the new style adjustable one for my '09.
It is kind of like a Mustang backrest now, it pivets with your back and it has a lot smaller and thinner pad.

I bought the new adjustable one and it works great (but looks like sh*t) so I just keep it in the saddlebag when I'm not riding. The Mustang one looks much better (imo) and is about the same $$.

I have the HD adjustable one and I love it. You can position it anywhere you want and the pad is high enough so that it does not bother my wife...

Dawg beat me to it.

The 09 brackets are MUCH better. (at least the fixed mount, cannot say about the adjustable) I was never happy with the pre-09 HD backrests, not matter what I did. The 09s are much better positioned.

The 07 and 08 must fit the same. I have a HD backrest on a 08 on StreetGlide and it seem to push me too far up to the tank. I have it on a Tallboy seat..I need the room, Im 6'1. Is there a better backrest? If so I will be selling mine.
