Deal still pending the outcome of the repainted bag. Still haven't heard from them yet.

Wow, maybe they ordered a new one. Should not take a local painter this long to paint a bag.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. But just gonna wait until they contact me saying it is done. The only thing I am thinking is they may have had to order the paint which may take a few weeks to get.

Is the bike still there? Maybe they got a better deal with less off and sold it to make more money.

My dealer have a lot of 07 and 08 Road Glides (5-6 last time I was in there) that have been traded in on 09 and a couple of 10's. Quick survey showed none with ABS however, and I don't recall any copper colored versions.

I know that Monster has probably already tried this, but take a stock seat and totally notch out the sides in the thigh area. A friend did this in his garage for his wife and she's happy with her 09 EGC. She's a little over 5'6 with boots on. Also 135 pounds... No complaints from her. She rides it like a pro.

Lowered seats - You can try any number seats from any number of vendors and they all the do the same thing to try to get your feet closer to the ground. They remove inches from the entire width of the seat - the seat deck. When they do this, the seat is no longer comfortable. If someone just took the time to notch out the sides of a basic stock seat and tried it you'd see massive improvement. I'm not talking the front of the seat either. I'm talking the whole side of the seat but leave the rear curve alone to cup your hips and give support while in the riding position. Wish I had a picture..don't

I think i'd try anything instead of going back to that 30 year old frame - no offense. Just me... Good luck.

Technically its a 30 year old frame with like one new weld on it... JK. and you're right. The 08's did box the engine in better than previous years. Just moving that engine mount from the center to the front made a great difference in handling. So I'm told anyway.

I've heard several times that the seat pan on the 09's are wider.

I have a 09 SG, a 09 Ultra and a 07 SG. I just went and measured the seat pan/frame on them all and all of them are identical in width. So I don't think the frame in this area (the seat area) is any wider on the 09's, in fact I know they are not. I even got the same measurement side cover to side cover It's the same width! I image the 09's are taller though maybe that is the problem. Or maybe just the way the 09 seats are made... who knows.

If all three of my digital cameras were not broke I'd include a picture. Man I need to get to Bestbuy.
