Default Air Intake Questions

Did anyone that has the 95" kit, cams, download and pipes install a high flow aftermarket air filter? If so, did it improve the performance above stock? Should I or not? In case it matters I have fuel injection.

Thanks in advance

Get the Ness stage 2 Big Sucker kit.............that will give you what you are looking for.

The stock air filter and air box is super restrictive, it only has 2 openings for the air to get in. When you go to a high-flow intake, you loose all the plastic backing plate, and the whole filter is wide open to allow much more air in.

I'll second the Ness. You just need more air.

You should be able to use the stock cover.

You're just changing the filter and backing plate.

The Ness and SE are pretty much identical. Cover should fit fine. According to my service dept., K&N now makes the elements for the SE intake. Never checked on Ness, but would guess probably the same filter. Price between the 2 would be the only thing to consider. Never have priced a Ness.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about these A/C's http://www.tpeng.com/scramjet.php and they look pretty cool.

You can still use the stock "football" cover with the Ness Big Sucker.

The Ness is better as the vent tubes are molded into the backing plate, so there are no rubber tubes showing like on the S/E kit.

The S/E kit is about $150 from the dealer, the Ness Big Sucker is $99 from Eastern Performance........and that is for the chrome backing plate.
